John Abraham's Mumbai Saga to lock horns with Parineeti Chopra & Arjun Kapoor's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar at BO
Sanjay Gupta's directorial Mumbai Saga starring John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi will clash with Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor's film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar at the Box office. Both the films will release on March 19, 2021.
It seems like 2021 will witness many B-Town stars locking horns at the box office. With Yash Raj Films announcing their slate for this year, Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar's period drama Prithviraj is all set to clash with Shahid Kapoor's sports drama Jersey on Diwali. Also, Salman Khan's highly-awaited Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will clash with John Abraham's action drama Satyameva Jayate 2 on Eid. And, now, two more films have joined this club as they will be releasing on the same day.
We are talking about John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer Mumbai Saga and Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Both the films are slated to release on March 19 this year. Yash Raj Films announced the release date of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar on social media.
While unveiling the release date of his film, the Dhoom star also took to his Instagram handle and shared the poster of Mumbai Saga. He captioned it as, "Get ready for the biggest Saga of the year, #MumbaiSaga, teaser out tomorrow!"
Talking about Mumbai Saga, the gangster drama has been directed by Sanjay Gupta and is set in the 1980s and 1990s. The movie marks John and Emraan's first outing together. While the Batla House star is playing the role of Ganpat Ram Bhonsle, a Mumbai gangster in the film, the Murder actor will be seen in the role of a cop. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anuradha Gupta, and Sangeeta Ahir, the movie also stars Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and Gulshan Grover.
On the other hand, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has been helmed by Dibakar Banerjee and also features Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta. The movie will depict the relationship between Pinky (Parineeti Chopra), who is accused of committing fraud, and Sandeep (Arjun Kapoor), a policeman from Haryana.
