Watch Bollywood Unite In 'Muskurayega India', a COVID-19 Lockdown Pick-Me-Up Song

Watch Video:

Akshay Kumar dropped a teaser of a cool new Bollwood collaboration by Jjust Music and Cape of Good Films not long ago. And as of Mondey evening, they did good on their promise. 'Muskurayega India' a track composed and sung by Vishal Mishra with lyrics by Kaushal Kishore is a song designed for quarantine blues going around India's 21-day lockdown and its music video is filled with Bollywood A-listers including Akshay Kumar, Ayushmann Khurrana, Jackky Bhagnani, Kartik Aryan, Ananya Pandey, Bhumi Pednekar, Tiger Shroff, Tapsee Pannu, Kriti Sanon, Raj Kumar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Rakul Preet Singh joined by RJ Malishka and Shikhar Dhawan.

It starts with a hopeful note, PM Narendra Modi's announcement clip and highlights India's fight against coronavirus before diving right into the part where actors takeover lip syncing to 'Muskurayega India'. The music video is a compilation of actors singing from their balconies and living rooms, grooving to what looks like our lockdown anthem. The song is all about a future where we get to roam the streets with no worries. But first, we need to stay home and leave the streets safe for cops and medical professionals. It is quite a pick-me-up for quarantined minds. We get it, it's cute in a "privileged people singing about hope" kinda way, but celebrities are doing their part offline as well, eg: donating to the PM Cares fund. Besides, it's just what we need right now.

Celebrities all over the globe have been serving content to keep their fans hooked and hopeful during the COVID-19 pandemic. The call for living room entertainment was even answered by a Backstreet Boys 'social distanced' reunion. We have a feeling this lil anthem isn't the last treat for fans.
