Salman Khan, Mahesh Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran launch Adivi Sesh's Major teaser

On Monday (April 12), the teaser of Adivi Sesh's Major was released by Mahesh Babu, Salman Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, respectively. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film is set to release in theatres on July 2.
The teaser of the multilingual film Major, which sees actor Adivi Sesh play the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, was released on YouTube on Monday. The biopic, which chronicles the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan from his childhood to his glorious years in the army, also stars Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar in pivotal roles.

Actors Mahesh Babu, Salman Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran took to their social media handles on Monday (April 12) to launch the teaser of the much-awaited film Major. In the teaser, Adivi Sesh answers the question of what it means to be a soldier fighting for the country and its people. The teaser shows the life and sacrifices made by Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in 2008.
Sharing the teaser of Major, Salman Khan wrote, "Isse kehte hain dhamakedaar teaser! Really happy and proud to launch this. Congratulations to the team.. and salute to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan (sic)."
Launching the teaser in Malayalam, Prithviraj Sukumaran wrote, "Really happy to launch the Malayalam teaser for this super exciting film.Kudos to the entire team & salute to #MajorSandeep! (sic)."
Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and captioned the teaser, "An attempt to honour the legacy of an unsung hero... The start of a MAJOR journey!! Hope you all like it! #MajorTeaser (sic)."
WHAT IS THE STORY OF MAJOR?
The film Major is inspired by the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the NSG commando who lost his life while rescuing hostages during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai in 2008. The film not only depicts his death but embraces the spirit with which he lived. Written by Adivi Sesh, the biopic will also see him in the titular role. Produced by Mahesh Babu, starring actors like Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma in key roles, Major will release in theaters on July 2.
