Sangeet Setu: 3 Day Virtual Live Musical Concert Features 18 Music Legends Including Lata Mangeshkar
The ISRA has announced a 3-day virtual musical concert which features 18 legends of the music industry and the host is none other than, Akshay Kumar to support the PM CARES FUND.
NEW DELHI: To lighten the mood of the nation amidst these hardships and to strengthen the unity and solidarity of the country, The Indian Singers' Rights Association (ISRA) has decided to come up with a 3-day virtual musical concert which features 18 legends of the music industry. The innovative step has been taken to unite the country with a melody of music as, besides medication, music is the best for healing.
In an effort to bring a smile on the faces of the sufferers and those fighting in the frontline against the pandemic, the show will also try to gather support for the PM CARES FUND and will appeal for more and more donation.
As the first day of this virtual concert was on Friday itself, it featured prominent singers like Kailash Kher and Anup Jalota. The show started with Asha Bhosle saying, "Since all of you were getting bored, we thought we might as well come to your house."
While Akshay Kumar played tunes on an electric guitar, Kailash Kher sang 'Kaun hai vo' from the blockbuster movie, Baqhubali. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Too tweeted about the same and asked people to watch the wonderful performances.
The show is blessed by Lata Mangeshkar and the legends that'll be a part of it includes Asha Bhosle, S.P. Balasubramaniam, K.J. Yesudas, Udit Narayan, Anup Jalota, Pankaj Udhas, Kavita Krishnamurthy Subramaniam, Sudesh Bhonsle, Suresh Wadkar, Talat Aziz, Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Salim Merchant, Shaan and Kailash Kher.
