'Bell Bottom' to 'Radhe': Bollywood films to go on floors post lockdown
Bollywood is slowly crawling back to work and celebrities are getting eager to report on sets. Movie schedules are being worked out keeping in mind the strict safety restrictions. While Akshay Kumar is gearing up for an international shoot schedule of his film 'Bell Bottom', Salman Khan has reportedly cancelled an international shoot and will be booking a Mumbai studio for 'Radhe'. Here's taking a look at films that will soon go on floors.
Salman Khan and Disha Patani had been working on 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' before the lockdown was announced. However now that norms are being eased, the team is eager to get back to shoot. The team of 'Radhe' cancelled its international schedule and will get to work at a studio in Mumbai. "With the new travel restrictions, flying abroad for the shoot is ruled out and the team is contemplating shooting it against a green screen now with visual effects making it appear like it's been shot abroad. The action sequence will also be shot in a city studio. There's 10-12 days of work left on the film," a source had told Mumbai Mirror. Reportedly shooting of an action sequence and a song is pending.
Akshay Kumar has been indulging in virtual script narrations during lockdown and will soon start shooting too. The actor and his team is expected to fly out on private jets to Scotland, to shoot for 'Bell Bottom', reported Mumbai Mirror. Akshay Kumar will be shooting for a stand-to end schedule of the lavishly mounted movie. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari,'Bell Bottom' will see Akshay Kumar romancing Vaani Kapoor.
Ajay Devgn also seems keen to start a new venture as lockdown norms are being eased and shooting is allowed under strict regulations. According to a news portal, Ajay Devgn has decided to start shooting for 'Thank God' in September. The film is directed by Indra Kumar and will feature Rakul Preet Singh as the leading lady. 'Thank God' was scheduled to go on floors in April, but now its first schedule will be at a studio in Mumbai.
Sanjay Gupta had been busy shooting for his gangster drama 'Mumbai Saga'in Mumbai, featuring John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy and Prateik Babbar. The shoot was halted due to the lockdown but 'Mumbai Saga' team is all set to start with a new schedule in Hyderabad, but it was recently called off. The team will now be shooting in Mumbai itself. The team of 'Mumbai Saga' reportedly plans to start shooting by August 15 in a studio in Mumbai.
