Ranveer Singh-starrer 83 will hit the theatres on June 4. The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone, is directed by Kabir Khan.

The makers of Ranveer Singh-starrer 83 also announced the release date of their much anticipated film. 83 will hit the theatres on June 4. Apart from 83, makers of Shershaah, Jhund, Bell Bottom and others revealed the release dates of their films. Yash Raj Films also announced the release dates of their five big films.

Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to share the release date. 83 will be released in multiple languages. Revealing the same, Ranveer wrote, "June 4th, 2021 !!!! in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. See you in cinemas !!! #thisis83 (sic)."
ABOUT 83
83 is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film revolves around India's historic 1983 World Cup win. Legendary cricketer, and at that time captain of the Indian cricket team, Kapil Dev led India to victory. Ranveer will play the role of Kapil Dev in the film. His wife Deepika Padukone will play the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia in the film. Apart from Ranveer and Deepika, the film boasts of an ensemble cast, comprising of actors like Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Chirag Patil, Harrdy Sandhu, Jiiva, Sahil Khattar, Jatin Sarna, Pankaj Tripathi and Boman Irani, among others.
83 is directed by Kabir Khan. Talking about the film, Kabir had earlier said, "I am shocked and thrilled that people didn't see this story. It's a goldmine. It's the best story I have heard in my life. It is unbelievable what these boys went through." Following 25 days in the life of the Indian cricket team in June 1983, the film centres on how the team of underdogs surprised all by clinching the title.
83 POSTPONED
83 was set to hit the theatres in April 2020 but it was postponed due to the novel coronavirus. Then it was reported that the film might release on Christmas this year, but now the makers have fixed June 4 as the film's release date.
