According to a trade source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, Ajay and Ranveer will be having extended cameos of their respective characters Singham and Simmba in the film's climax sequence. They will have a smashing appearance in the film with a screen time of atleast 30 minutes. This is said to be the biggest highlight of the film. Earlier, Ranveer had said that Rohit had been itching to shoot a new, elaborate action sequence with cars blowing up and guns firing for a while now. "The last time we shot action together was during the climax of Sooryavanshi. So, this shoot was extra fulfilling for both of us. Bahut time se action ka keeda kaat raha tha hum dono ko!" he had said.
Meanwhile, there were rumours that Akshay's both films, Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom, will arrive on Independence Day in August. However, the Khiladi Kumar has refuted speculations that were doing the rounds over the release date of his two forthcoming films.
"I'm humbled at the excitement and eagerness of my fans regarding the release of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom, and want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their love. However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time," read the statement issued by Akshay.
The 2nd wave of Covid has hit Bollywood hard, and an already paralyzed film industry is left looking for solutions of survival that don't seem to exist at the moment. According to trade experts, if Sooryavanshi would have released in theatres, it could make close to Rs 200-300 crore at the box office. Plus, they would have easily earned around Rs 25 crore from OTT, Rs 25 crore from overseas and Rs 15-20 crore from music, if not more. So, on an investment of 125 crore, the film could have fetched at least Rs 300 crore if it did well.
