Attack Box Office: Film beats Badhaai Do and Jhund; becomes 6th highest opening weekend grosser of 2022
The John Abraham starrer Attack - Part 1 was released last Friday to a mixed response. Facing stiff competition from the previous releases The Kashmir Files and RRR, the film faced an uphill task of enticing the audiences. As expected, the film has opened on a less than appreciative note.
In this box office report, we look at the opening weekend collections of Attack - Part 1 while comparing the same to the previous releases of 2022. Collecting Rs. 11.51 cr, Attack ranks as the sixth-highest opening weekend grosser of 2022. In fact, the business of the film does not surpass the collections of previous releases like RRR, which collected Rs. 75.57 cr, Gangubai Kathiawadi that collected Rs. 39.12 cr, Bachchhan Paandey that collected Rs. 36.17 cr, The Kashmir Files that collected Rs. 27.15 cr and Radhe Shyam collected Rs. 13.94 cr. On the other hand, Attack - Part 1 does manage to surpass the collections of other releases like Badhaai Do which collected Rs. 7.82 cr and the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund that collected Rs. 5.58 cr.
Going further, Attack - Part 1 still faces an uphill task of posting decent opening week collections. In fact, as per trade predictions, the business of the film will take a major hit in collections as the days progress.
