Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff film War is creating fireworks at the box office ahead of Diwali. The film is expected to break several more records in the coming days.
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff have the biggest film of their career with the success of War. The film, which released on October 2, is creating fireworks at the box office ahead of Diwali. On Saturday it crossed the coveted Rs 250-crore mark. Breaking several box office records, War has become the highest opening day grosser of 2019.
On the tenth day of its release, War collected a sum of Rs 7.10 crore taking its total collection to Rs 245.95 crore. On Saturday, it is expected to earn around Rs 10-12 crore, and thus cross Rs 250 crore. Going by the craze of the film, it seems it will earn around Rs 15 crore on Sunday.
While the film received mixed response for its storyline from the critics, audiences are liking the chemistry between the undisputed most handsome men in the industry today- Hrithik and Tiger. From their action sequences to their impeccable dance moves, fans are dying to see them on screen again and again. The camaraderie and mutual admiration between the two stars is palpable from their onscreen portrayal of their characters Kabir and Khalid.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, War also stars Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Soni Razdan and Anupriya Goenka in pivotal roles. About the performances of the lead actors of War, India Today's Nairita Mukherjee writes, "Tiger tries, and the more he tries, the more he squints. His voice gets shrill and shriller until the climax, and you need to watch War for that. Hrithik, on the other hand, doesn't walk or run to the top spot. He glides, with a swagger he had mastered way back in Dhoom 2, and then in Bang Bang. Yet, in scenes where both men clench their teeth and pop their veins, which, in Bollywood-language translates into intense acting, Ashutosh Rana emerges as more natural and thus, more human."
