Panipat's trailer gave a glimpse of the majestic era of the 18th century. Besides Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt, the trailer also unveiled a set of skilled actors making the supporting cast of Panipat. In the three minutes long trailer, we find veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure shine as Gopika Bai along with Mohnish Bahl, Zeenat Aman and others in Ashutosh Gowariker's historical drama. The actress is returning on the silver screen after years. She was last seen playing the role of Shahid Kapoor's mother in Phata Poster Nikla Hero in 2013 and is all set to mark her big comeback with Panipat.
Recently, Kriti Sanon took to her Instagram handle and introduced Padmini Kolhapure as Gopika Bai in her latest post. The actress brings out the true essence of the Maratha culture as she stands strong and impactful donning a rich Maharashtrian saree with palatial jewelry and a trademark nose ring. The trailer shows Padmini Kolhapure as Gopika Bai expressing her denial in regard to Peshwa's decision of choosing Sadashiv Rao Bhau to lead the joint-Maratha forces in the Third Battle of Panipat against Ahmad Shah Abdali where she wished her son Vishwasrao to take the lead.
