Deepika Padukone, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat with Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor is all excited and geared up for her next film, Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak. The movie is extra special to Deepika because it marks her debut as a producer. Recently, the director of the film Meghna Gulzar had said that the trailer of Chhapaak will be released on World Human Rights Day i.e on 10th December 2019. And just now, Deepika has confirmed this news.

Deepika Padukone has shared three posts on her Instagram account unveiling about the trailer. While the first and the third post is just blank with a black background, the second post shows some splashes of water in the black background and then there comes "Trailer Out Tomorrow", written on it. Deepika captioned all the posts as "A moment is all it took... Trailer out tomorrow.Keep watching this space... #Chhapaak @meghnagulzar @vikrantmassey87 @_kaproductions @foxstarhindi @mrigafilms." The movie also stars Vikrant Massey.
Talking about Deepika in the film, Meghna had said that in Chhapaak it is a completely different side of Deepika which people will see. When she says that she doesn't mean just the look or prosthetics, it's also about going into the second level of the character - the body language, the gestures and the general energy. The movie directed by Meghna Gulzar is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika started shooting for Chhapaak in New Delhi and the shoot was wrapped up on June 4th, 2019. The movie had created a buzz since the first look of Deepika as Malti was out. Chhapaak is scheduled to hit the screens on 10 January 2020.
