Chhapaak Trailer: Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey is powerful, spine chilling and hopeful
Chhapaak Movie Trailer: The first trailer of Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey's Chhapaak has released. The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and it is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
Chhaapaak trailer is finally out. The real-life inspired movie sees Deepika Padukone return to the big screen after a break of two years. The last time Deepika made her way to the big screen was with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat in January 2018. The actress is shedding the grandeur to tell a story of an acid attack victim in Chhapaak. Deepika is paired opposite Vikrant Massey for the first time. The first look starring Deepika was released a few months ago. Over the past few months, a slew of photos leaked from the film's New Delhi schedule which served as a great tease.
Now with the Chhapaak trailer released, fans have a better idea of the movie. The trailer begins with a protest for Malti (played by Deepika) before the trailer gives a glimpse of Malti in the hospital soon after the attack takes place. Eventually, the trailer unfolds to show Malti's new face, her struggle to come to terms with her scarred face and her will to fight. During the course, Vikrant's activist is introduced, his stand in Malti's fight, his closeness with her and more are seen in the trailer. The trailer draws curtains with a sense of hope, that her fight eventually leads to victory.
