Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal Reigns Supreme As Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Trailer To Be Unveiled On THIS Date

Chhaava trailer gets a date
The makers of the Vicky Kaushal-starring historical drama unveiled a new poster of the actor. The trailer of Chhaava will be unveiled on January 22. Vicky shared the poster and wrote, "On 16th January 1681, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's Rajyabhishek ceremony marked the beginning of a legendary legacy! 344 years later, we bring his story of unshaken courage and glory to life. #ChhaavaTrailer out on 22nd January! Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025."
About Chhaava
Chhaava is based on the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha empire, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who ruled from 1681 to 1689. Rashmika Mandanna plays Vicky's wife, Yesubai Bhonsale, whereas Divya Dutta as his stepmother Soyarabai and Akshaye Khanna will be seen as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rashmika opened up about Chhaava and said, "The first narration of Chhaava I heard, the film team were in touch with the managers and they called me into their office. They told me who it is about and that is something...It's huge. And for me in my head I am thinking I am from the South, how can you think about me playing a Maharashtrian queen? Let me just ask you this basic question- Me! How? What is going on? But the second I heard the script, for the first time in my life I didn't take a second to say yes."
