Dharmendra's final act: All about 'Ikkis', the last movie of Bollywood's original He-Man with Amitabh Bachchan's grandson
Bollywood has lost one of its greatest icons. Dharmendra - the legendary actor fondly known as the industry's original 'He-Man'- passed away on Monday at the age of 89.
In an emotional coincidence, the first poster of his final film was unveiled the same day.
Titled Ikkis, the film stars Agastya Nanda as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. Dharmendra plays M. L. Khetarpal, father of the brave 21-year-old soldier who laid down his life during the 1971 Battle of Basantar.
The poster was released by Maddock Films on its official X account with a heartfelt tribute: "Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21-year-old immortal soldier. One timeless legend brings us the story of another."
The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan and is set to release in cinemas worldwide on December 25, 2025.
Ikkis also features Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher in important roles.
